Brighid's Flame Hearthkeepers Circle
Jacksonville, North Carolina & Surrounding Areas
We come from all walks of life, but have one thing in common: an interest in or active practice in hearth-based magic and ritual. Some of us may actively work with other deities in our personal lives, however this Circle is dedicated to Brighid (Goddess & Saint) and is a part of the Brighid's Hearth Church: Temple of Spiritual Healing & Shamanic Birthwork.
In this Circle we gather to learn about hearth-based (home and homestead) magic, traditional hearth skills (breadbaking, butter alchemy, spinning, brewing, medicine-making...), divination, spiritual healing and Celtic-based folk magic, shamanic birthwork, womyn's mysteries, and more. We will also meet for the Sabbats based in the Celtic tradition, and this circle will also act as a physical study group for those who wish to pursue Priestess Midwyf-Healer training and initiation through Brighid's Hearth Church.

Autumn Equinox Ritual & Potluck
Date: Sunday September 25, 2016
Time: 6pm to ...
Join us for the Second Harvest, Mabon, the Autumn Equinox. Gather in Circle with us as we come together in friendship and sisterhood, perform ritual, give thanks for that which we are Harvesting in our lives, honor the land spirits, and feast together.
We will gather at 6pm and prepare for the ritual. Ritual will begin at 7pm. When the ritual is over we will enjoy a potluck meal together and socialize. Following the meal you are welcome to stay for drumming and dancing around the bonfire. Musicians bring your best!
You are welcome to bring vegetarian or omniverous food items, snacks, main course meals, or desert. We would love it if everyone could bring a plate or bowl, cup, and eating utensil(s) for themselves so that we don't have to use disposable ware. We will set up a small washing station for rinsing afterwards if we don't have access to a kitchen. We will have water and herbal teas, and are not sure yet as to whether we will be at an alcohol-friendly location for those who wish to partake after the ritual.
If you are interested in attending please < contact us > via phone or e-mail so that we have an idea of head-count and can keep you up to date on location or time changes if any occur and get an idea of the food item(s)you plan to bring.
